Soldier charged with attempted murder of teenager at TRNSMT festival

The 16-year-old victim was left with serious injuries

An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a teenager at TRNSMT festival.

The incident took place around 3.10pm on Saturday, 13 July, 2024 at Glasgow Green, where a 16-year-old boy was left with serious injuries.

He is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, 15 August, 2024, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective Inspector Willie Downie said: “We would like to thank members of the public and partners who assisted with our investigation.”
