Man found dead in Glasgow stairwell

Police have made an arrest

THERE’S been an arrest after a man was found dead in the north east of Glasgow in the early hours.

Police were called to Lambhill after reports of an injured male in the stairwell of flats at Knapdale Street at two in the morning.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and forensic officers were called to scour the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a man found injured within a common close on Knapdale Street, Glasgow, around 2am on Saturday, 3 July.

"Officers attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"A 26-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing."
