Man arrested on murder bid after late-night Paisley attack
The 40-year-old victim was found unresponsive on the town's George Street
A 31-year-old man’s been arrested, accused of trying to kill another man in Paisley late last night.
Police were called to the town’s George Street just before midnight and found a 40-year old man unresponsive.
Emergency services were called and the man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
Police have confirmed that a 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
Detective Inspector Gordon Smith said: "Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with any information which may assist with the investigation to get in touch.
“If you have doorbell cameras, private CCTV or a dashcam, please review your footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.
"We would also like to speak to those who assisted officers in locating the injured man. If you have not spoken to officers yet, please contact us."
