Man Arrested In Connection With Murder of Cumbernauld Man
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of another man who was found injured in the street in Cumbarnauld on Thursday.
Police were called to a disturbance in Glenhove Road where they found 25-year-old Anthony Laurie with serious injuries.
He was taken to Monklands and District General Hospital but died a short time later.
They launched a murder inquiry following a post mortem and carried out door-to-door inquries, as well as viewing CCTV footage to try and identify those responsible. They say a 25-year-old has been arrested and is detained in police custody in connection with the death. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
