Man arrested and charged with mobile phone robberies in Glasgow

Three boys are all said to have had their phones stolen in separate incidents in the south side of the city on September 3.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with a number of mobile phone robberies in the south side of Glasgow.

Three boys aged 12, 14 and 15 were involved in separate incidents, on September 3 between 3:30 and 3:55pm, in which their mobile phones were stolen from them in the Battlefield and Shawlands area of the city.

Similarly, at around quarter to four on Monday 10 September, a 13-year-old boy was robbed of his mobile phone in Springkell Avenue near to St Andrews Drive, Pollokshields.

The man is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday 25 September 2018. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
