A 20-year-old man has been arrested after a teenage girl was killed in the early hours of Sunday.
The 15-year-old was out with four friends in Paisley and was crossing the road when she was struck by a car.
Emergency services were called to Glenburn Road at about 2am on Sunday.
She's been named locally as Robyn Fryer, with tributes online describing her as a "pretty angel with a heart of gold".
The teenager was taken Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow by ambulance, but died a short time later, Police Scotland confirmed.
There has been a large police cordon around the area for most of the day.
Detective Inspector Allan Kelly of Paisley CID said: "The young girl was with four friends when she stepped on to the road and was hit by the car.''
Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
