A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a young dad by stabbing him to death in the street nearly two months ago.
Prosecutors say 24 year-old James Wright murdered Craig McLelland by stabbing him in the town's Tweed Avenue just after 11pm on July 23rd.
Craig was taken to hospital where he later died.
He was arrested yesterday after a two month investigation and appeared in the dock at Paisley Sheriff Court today charged with murder.
He made no plea to the single charge against him and was remanded in custody by Sheriff Colin Pettigrew, who continued the case for prosecutors to investigate further.
Wright is expected to appear in court again next week to be fully committed for trial
