Man appears in court charged with murder of woman in East Kilbride

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found at her home in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire.
Louise Aitchison, 33, was pronounced dead when emergency services were called to her home on Park Terrace at 4.30pm on April 30.
Concerns about the occupant of the flat had been reported to police.
Following a post-mortem examination on Saturday, Police Scotland said her death was being treated as murder.
Daryll Paterson appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court charged with her murder on Monday. The 35-year-old, of East Kilbride, made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is due for another court appearance within eight days.
