Man appears in court charged with Christmas Day murder
35 year old David McDade made no plea or declaration in relation to the death of 43 year old Thomas Roberts in the Saracen area of Glasgow
A man has appeared in court charged with murdering another man on Christmas Day.
Police were called to a disturbance in Ashgill Road in the Saracen area of Glasgow at about 4am on Sunday.
Thomas Roberts, 43, died in hospital and another man was found injured.
David McDade, 35, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court where he was charged with murder and assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
