A man is accused of abducting a 71-year-old woman in her Glasgow home while in possession of a knife.

Leo Mills, 21, allegedly entered Margaret Kane’s flat in Cardonald uninvited on July 4 2019.

It is claimed Mills removed the keys from the flat and locked her inside to her fear and alarm.

Prosecutors state Miss Kane was detained against her will and was assaulted by Mills.

The allegations include presenting a knife at her, seizing her by the body, pushing her against a wall and threatening her.

It is stated that the alleged offence was to Miss Kane’s injury.

Mills faces a second charge of breaching bail conditions.

Mills, who did not attend court, pled not guilty through his lawyer Michael Gallen on Thursday at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the two charges.

A further hearing was set for February by Sheriff Ian Fleming who granted bail for Mills, of Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, meantime.
