Two teenagers rushed to hospital after major disturbance in Bishopbriggs

The incident happened on Villafield Drive last night

Two 18-year-old boys have been rushed to hospital after a major disturbance in Bishopbriggs.

Police were called to Villafield Drive shortly before 8pm last night.

One of the boys remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition, while the other was discharged with minor head injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told us:

“Around 7.45 pm on Saturday, 27 May 2023, police were called to a large scale disturbance on Villafield Drive, near to Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs, on Saturday, 26 May 2023.

“Two male youths, both aged 18 years, were attacked by an adult male during the incident.

“Both youths were taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. One of the youths remains in hospital with serious injuries. Medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable.

“The other youth sustained minor head injuries and was discharged following treatment.

“Enquiries into the incident are continuing.”
