The main road along the banks of the River Clyde at Tradeston will close to traffic permanently.

It's part of transformation plans for Buchanan Wharf including offices, space for shops as well as hundreds of flats and new public spaces.

Clyde Place will close on the 1st of October to allow the work on the major development to continue.

The billion pound waterfront development's expected to create thousands of jobs for the city and will be one of Scotland’s biggest developments.

With work between West Street and Bridge Street ongoing, the traffic regulation order on Clyde Place will modify the direction of travel on Kingston Street to become eastbound only.

As a result West Street and Clyde Place will be closed between Riverview Gardens and Commerce Street.

From September 20 Kingston Street will be closed to allow for the installation of new traffic signals, resurfacing and lining works.

It is anticipated that these works will be completed on September 26.

Between this date and the October 1, a temporary order will be utilised to allow for the directional changes to take place.
