Police in West Dunbartonshire are investigating after a boat was stolen from Cameron House Marina on Loch Lomond.

The 23 foot long Carrera 225 sports boat was taken from the marina and removed on a trailer towed by a light-coloured SUV at around 8pm on Tuesday night.

Officers said the boat was taken Eastbound on the A82 before going through Old Kilpatrick.

It was then abandoned and later recovered from an area off the A809 Stockiemuir Road, north of Milngavie.

Detective Constable Angela Tipping, of Clydebank Police Station, said:

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and would urge anyone with information to come forward.

“We would be keen to speak with anyone who believes they may have seen the boat at any point between Cameron House and where it was abandoned, or who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage.

“If you can help please call 101, quoting incident 1753 of 7 December, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
