Loch Lomond Fisherman Missing
A search has been launched for a fisherman reported missing around Loch Lomond.
Joe Brown, 66, had been camping and fishing around Pilot Bay on the loch and was last seen leaving the Oak Tree Pub in Balmaha at around 10.30pm on Friday.
At around 11am on Saturday, another fisherman found Mr Brown's boat beached on rocks with no one inside.
Police were called and no trace of him has been found at his camp site.
Officers are trying to establish if Mr Brown used his boat to get from the pub to his camp site on Friday night or if he went out on it on Saturday morning.
Mr Brown is white and 6ft tall and was wearing a beige fishing jacket, blue shirt and green jumper when he was last seen.
Inspector Martin Rutland said: At this time we are still trying to establish if Joe took his boat home from the pub or whether he went out on the water earlier on Saturday morning.
As such we are keen to hear from anyone who remembers seeing him after, or who has information as to his current whereabouts.
I would also ask that if Joe sees this appeal he make contact with family, friends or with police to let us know he is safe.''
