LISTEN: Woman Injured In Glasgow Bus Crash
A woman is being treated in hospital after being knocked down by a bus close to where a man was hit and later died in a collision earlier this year.
The accident happened at the corner of Argyle Street and Queen Street in Glasgow city centre at around 11.30am.
She was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Her condition is not known.
Neil Greig from the Institute of Advanced Motorists is calling for improved safety at the accident blackspot after a man died and his wife was seriously injured on the road in May in a collision with a bus.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 11.30am, police received a report of a woman having been struck by a bus on the corner of Argyle Street at its junction with Queen Street.
In May, Brian Rose and his wife were hit by a bus at the same junction.
The couple were trapped under the vehicle, prompting a major response from emergency services with a number of fire engines and a special operations team from the ambulance service involved in releasing them.
The 76-year-old, from Newcastle, died in hospital from his injuries almost a month after the crash.
