LISTEN: Police appeal after two men stabbed in Drumchapel

detectives say up to 30 people witnessed the attack on Saturday night

Clyde News understands a fight in Drumchapel which resulted in two men being stabbed happened after a funeral.

Two men aged 38 were attacked outside Betfred on the shopping arcade at around 18:50 hrs on Saturday night.

Detectives are treating the assault on one of the victims as attempted murder and the other as a serious assault.

Det Sgt Raymond Sagan from Drumchapel CID says "From our CCTV inquiries so far, we can see that there is a large group of around 20 to 30 people standing outside who all witnessed what happened.

"It is absolutely crucial that these people come forward and speak to us as they will hold vital information that could help us trace whoever is responsible for the violent attack."

A 39 year-old woman was also taken to hospital for treatment to a hand injury and has since been released.
