Scottish pop sensation Lewis Capaldi joined punters in Glasgow's Slouch Bar & Kitchen Venue on Wednesday night, swapping the microphone for the bar tap to serve lucky locals pints.

The city centre pub revealed in a tongue in cheek social media post that the 'Hold Me While You Wait' singer had dropped in to help out behind the bar. The boozer put up pictures of Capaldi on Instagram lending bar staff a hand by pulling pints for punters.

Slouch unveiled their 'new recruit', saying:

"Say hello to our newest recruit! @lewiscapaldi! First day in the job and he's already pouring 10's. But this time, we were tekken the pictures!"

Capaldi, 22, said recently that he is enjoying some time off after performing to a raucous local crowd of more than 50,000 people at Glasgow Green during the TRNSMT festival earlier this month.

The West-Lothian artist has also hit headlines recently for his spat with Noel Gallagher. The former Oasis superstar kicked off a battle between the two when he claimed not to have heard of Capaldi, he later said Scotland was "like a Third World country".

However, Capaldi made light of the feud, turning comments made by the 90s Britpop idol which compared him to Chewbacca into a chance to raise money for charity.

The 22-year-old began his TRNSMT set by coming out in a Chewbacca mask and immediately the response went viral. He later gave the mask away and it was put up for sale on ebay, with the eventual £7000 sum it fetched going to Tiny Changes, a Scottish mental health charity.
