Large police presence at Glasgow Royal Infirmary after report of 'concern for a person'

The hospital is still functioning as normal.

There is a large police presence outside Glasgow's Royal Infirmary, after reports of "concern for a person" in the early hours of this morning.

Footage from the scene shows several police cars and ambulances outside.

Emergency crews were called there just after 3am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said : "Around 3.10am on Friday, 12 August, 2022, we received a report of a concern for a person at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

"Emergency services are currently still in attendance. The hospital is operating as normal."
