Two men accused of grooming teenage girls for sex are to stand trial.

50 year-old Arjun Singh and Naresh Kumar, 48, face the allegation which spans between January 2011 and March 2020.

It is said the pair - along with unknown individuals - conspired to "groom and engage in unlawful sexual activity" with five named girls and other females.

Prosecutor claim they got the youngsters to bring friends to a flat, buy them food, cigarettes and alcohol as well as supply them with money and drugs.

A number of locations in Hamilton, Lanarkshire feature on the indictment.

Singh and Kumar face other allegations including separate charges of rape.

The case called for a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.

The pair deny the accusations and judge Lord Beckett set a trial due to start in June next year.
