A Lanarkshire man has pushed himself to the limits by completing nearly 67,000 burpees over the last 365 days.

On November 1 last year, Craig Curtis decided to do one burpee and has added one more to his exercise routine every day for a year.

Today his total is 365.

Craig has added one burpee to his exercise routine every day for the last year.

He told Clyde 1: "It has been a challenge mentally and physically.

"Over the last 4 or 5 months, I've been doing over 250 burpees every day and that is not easy.

"Your mind has to be in the right place to keep working on something like this, but I feel as though I have unlocked a new part of my potential."

Craig has started a fundraiser for the mental health charity Chris' House which has raised thousands of pounds.

He added: "I firmly believe very few people in the world could actually put their minds to completing a challenge like this and crossing that line feels absolutely amazing.

"The support and encouragement from people have really helped to keep me focused over the last year and I am very grateful."

He hopes his challenge will encourage others to set fitness goals.

The personal trainer is planning on having a bit of a rest, but claims he is not going to stop doing burpees anytime soon.

Craig said: "I will alter my training a little bit and work on some other stuff.

"As crazy as it sounds, I will still be doing burpees.

"They will be in my week-to-week workouts, but certainly not in the hundreds.

"They are really good for you."
