Man arrested following weekend death in Lanark

A man has been arrested by police investigating the death of Robert Yuill

Police investigating the death or Robert Yuill in Lanark have announced they’ve arrested a 44-year-old man.

33-year-old Mr Yuill was found on Smyllum Road around 9.45am on Saturday, 2 December and pronounced dead at the scene.

Following a post-mortem police confirmed they were treating the his death as murder investigation.

Speaking earlier this week Detective Inspector Laura Sands said: “Our thoughts remain with Robert Yuill’s family and friends at this very difficult time.

“We are providing his family with support as our investigation continues to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“We would again urge anyone who may have any information to get in touch. Any information, no matter how small, could be vital in establishing what happened to Robert.
