Man robbed at knifepoint on train to Drumchapel
The suspect is described as in his 20s, with dirty blonde hair and a scar on his right cheek
A man has been robbed at knife point on board a train to Drumchapel station.
Detectives say a 22-year-old man was travelling with a friend on the 9.57pm ScotRail service between Whifflet and Dalmuir on Thursday 2 February when the incident happened.
After Westerton station, both the victim and his friend became aware of another man who approached them and sat next to them.
The man then pulled out a knife, threatening the victim whilst ordering him to hand over his iPhone.
Fearing for his life, the victim handed it over.
The offender then left the service at Drumchapel station.
The offender is described as a white man in his twenties, approximately 5ft 10ins and of slim build. He had dirty blonde hair and a scar on his right cheek. He was wearing a two-tone grey tracksuit with a large EA7 mark on it and was carrying a bottle of Buckfast.
The offender and another man may have been in the Anniesland area prior to the incident.
Detectives are keen to speak with anyone who was on board this train and saw what happened.
