King Tuts in Glasgow to host climate change concert

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am.

King Tuts Wah-Wah Hut in Glasgow will host a climate change concert for the first time next month during COP26.

It is the first of a number of shows which are part of the "Concerts for Climate" series.

Some of the biggest names in Scottish music will be playing including Twin Atlantic, Admiral Fallow, The Ninth Wave, Rachel Sermanni, RURA, Blue Rose Code, Tamzene and The National Youth Pipe Band.

Susan Kerr, from King Tuts said: "We are honoured to host the very first Project Zero Concerts for Climate at King Tut’s, in the host city of COP26, Glasgow.

"It is so important that we tackle climate change now and this concert series will help draw attention to the fact our oceans are our biggest weapon in fighting the climate emergency.”

Folk band RURA said: “It’s a real privilege to be part of this show alongside so many great artists and friends.

"In bringing people together to enjoy a great night, this event and many others like it will hopefully go some way to raising awareness and encouraging discussion around the climate crisis.”
