The body of a man found next to the bodies of his partner and her daughter in Northern Ireland has been confirmed as 38-year-old Russell Steele, originally from Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.

Police in Northern Ireland confirmed his identity after the three bodies were found in a property in Newry in Northern Ireland on Thursday.

The identity of Giselle Marimon-Herrera, 37, originally from Colombia, and her daughter Allison, 15, were confirmed earlier this week after being discovered at the flat in Glin Ree Court in County Down.

Relatives contacted Police after becoming concerned about their family members when they hadn't heard from them in three days.

Police have confirmed the 15-year-old girl was strangled, and there is a "strong possibility" her Mum died the same way.

Reports suggest Russell Steele may have taken his own life.

Inquiries are ongoing however Police aren't looking for anyone else in connection with the incident
