Three teens in hospital as 21-year-old man arrested for driving offences in Kilbarchan

Three teens, 17,18, & 19 have been taken to hospital after one-car crash in Kilbarchan.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested after a one-car crash which left three teenagers in hospital.

Police were called to the scene in Kilbarchan in the early hours of Sunday morning (August 28) after a car overturned on Church street at it’s connection with Kibbleston Road.

The incident occurred around 1:25am, as emergency services rushed to the rural area.

An 18 year-old man, alongside a 19-year-old man and 17-year-old female were taken to hospital with ‘minor injuries’.

Police have since confirmed that the driver of the car is a 21-year-old man, who was arrested later in connection with road traffic offences.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received reports of a one-car crash on Church Street at Kibbleston Road in Kilbarchan around 1.25am on Sunday, 28 August, 2022.

“An 18-year-old man was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley with minor injuries. A 19-year-old man and 17-year-old female were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with minor injuries.

“A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences. He has been released on undertaking to appear in court at a later date.”
