Police are re-appealing over one week on since 16-year old Kai Rae from Cambuslang went missing.

He was reported missing on Monday 23 November 2020 from Halfway in Cambuslang.

However police say extensive CCTV enquiries show he travelled to Edinburgh Waverley Station on Monday 23 where he then took a train to London. He was then spotted leaving King's Cross Station around 10.10pm on 23 November and got into a taxi at one of the station's taxi ranks.

CCTV images show him wearing a black hoodie with 'GAP' outlined in white letters on the front, dark blue jeans and dark trainers. He was also wearing a black mask, a back pack and carrying a dark blue GAP paper bag.

Inspector Stephen McManus said: "We have a number of resources dedicated to the search for Kai and are working with our colleagues at the British Transport Police and Metropolitan Police as part of our enquiries.

"Kai has been missing for over a week now. It is extremely unusual for him not to be in contact with his family and they are understandably extremely worried.

"We have released these CCTV images of Kai at King's Cross Station to show what he was last seen wearing in the hope that someone may recognise him or know where he may have travelled on to. Perhaps someone spoke to him at either of the train stations or on the trains?

"If Kai sees this appeal, I would ask him to please contact family, friends or police to let us know that he is safe."

Kai is described as white, 5ft 6in tall, slim build with short brown hair.

Anyone who may have seen Kai or has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1144 of 23 November.
