Police appeal after car crash escalates into assault

Renfrewshire Police are investigating a car crash that escalated into a fight in Johnstone.

The two cars collided on Elm Drive at 2:30 PM last Thursday afternoon.

A 21 year old man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries after being assaulted by another passenger.

Appeal for Information

Detective Constable Jade Clark of Paisley Police Station said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are working to establish the full circumstances and identify the people involved in this incident.

“Our enquiries suggest other people were in the area at the time of the incident and they may have dashcam or mobile phone footage which could help our investigation.

“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 1930 of 27 October, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555."
