Investigation after man dies in Parkhead
Westmuir Street was sealed off following an incident during the night.
Police are investigating the death of a 49 year old man after an overnight disturbance in the street in the east end of the city.
Westmuir Street, in the Parkhead area, was closed closed off in both directions after the incident, which happened at about 00:40.
Detectives said a 49-year-old man was found with serious injuries and was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he died a short time later.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place.
The death is being treated as suspicious.
