Investigation launched after woman attacked and robbed in Alexandria

She was taken to hospital to receive treatment for a head injury

An investigation is underway after a woman was assaulted and robbed outside a property in Alexandria on Friday night.

The 39-year-old was approached by a man and woman on Colquhoun Drive.

She was then punched on the head and her phone was taken shortly after 11.30pm.

The victim was taken to hospital and treated for a head injury.

Detective Sergeant Neil Allison said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in Colquhoun Drive late on Friday evening and may have noticed anything suspicious to please get in touch.

“In particular we would ask people with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the surrounding area to check in case they have captured anything which could be of significance.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0002 of Saturday, 10 February, 2024. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
