Detectives hunt masked gang after Tollcross stabbing

The 40-year old was attacked by 4 men last night - three were masked - a fourth was described as having shaved blonde hair

A man is in a stable condition in hospital after being stabbed by four men in Tollcross.

The 40-year old was assaulted at 9:20pm last night in a common close in Easterhill Place.

Three of the suspects were masked. A fourth man described as having shaved in blond hair.

Detective Inspector Greig Wilkie at Shettleston CID said: “Although the exact motive is unclear at this time, we believe that the victim was specifically targeted by the four masked men.

“Officers are currently viewing CCTV and carrying out door to door enquiries in an attempt to gain further information on the identities of the men responsible for this violent attack.

“I urge anyone who was in the vicinity of Easterhill Place around the time this incident took place and who may have seen the culprits hanging around the area either before or afterwards to contact police immediately.”
