Man who died in Inverkip crash named by police
A man who died following a crash in Inverkip at the weekend has been named as 59-year-old David Horn from Wemyss Bay.
A man who died following a crash in Inverkip has been named as David Horn from Wemyss Bay.
The 59-year-old was driving on the A78 on Saturday night, when his Toyota Yaris collided with a Volkswagen Golf.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, but passed away a short time later.
The 22-year-old driver of the Volkswagen was also taken to hospital, with serious injuries.
In a statement, David's family said: “David was a loving, caring and compassionate husband and father, and a ready, willing and true friend to many.”
Sergeant Nick Twigg said: “Our thoughts are very much with David’s family at this very difficult time.
“Our investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened is ongoing and we continue to appeal to anyone who can assist, who has not already spoken with officers, to please get in touch.
“If you have dash-cam footage or anything else that could help, please call us on 101 and quote incident number 3898 of Saturday, 15 October, 2022.”
