Hunt After Teens Robbed At Knife Point In Airdrie

Detectives are appealing for information after two teenage boys were robbed at knife point in Airdrie.

Around 2110 hours on Saturday 7 February 2015, the two 15 year olds were walking home along Victoria Place. They were approached by a man who presented a knife and demanded that they hand over their smart phones.

The suspect is described as mid 20’s, 5’8", with a shaved head and wearing black clothing.

Detective Sergeant John Currie said: "This was a terrifying experience for two teenage boys who have been left extremely shaken by what happened.

"I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious to contact police via the non emergency number 101. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity will be maintained."
