Officers are appealing for information following a housebreaking in Cumbernauld where jewellery and designer items worth a five-figure sum were stolen.

The incident happened between 8.30pm and 9pm on Saturday, 17 February, at a property on Glen Douglas Drive.

Detective Sergeant Vicky Shanley said: “We are working on a number of lines of enquiry and one is that those responsible entered the property from the rear where it backs onto Dullator Golf Course.

“The golf course car park was busy at the time with people attending the restaurant and the club and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious.

“If you were using the car park that night please get in touch as you may have information, no matter how small, that could help with our investigation.

“We are also asking people to check their dash-cam to see if it contains anything that could assist with us tracing those responsible.”

Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0633 of Sunday, 18 February, 2024.
