Clyde News has been speaking to a Rangers supporter stabbed in what police say was a 'large scale disturbance' in Glasgow city centre hours after the Old Firm game on Sunday.

Police were called to an incident on Hope Street around 9.50pm on Sunday 2 September.

Images on social media appear to show a man with a stab wound, along with a blood-stained shirt.

Officers say a 54-year-old man was seriously injured but declined medical treatment. A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene but was later released without charge.

The man's son told us: "We were getting past the Park Lane pub when we were attacked from behind by a group of at least 20 - 25 folk shouting 'CFC' and 'are you Rangers?'

"The punches were raining down on me from behind. I wasn't aware that I'd been stabbed until I went over to attend to my dad.

"I'm very sore and disappointed that we were targeted just for being Rangers fans."

Police say enquiries into what happened are ongoing.
