Man arrested over Clydebank hit and run

Two men remain in hospital after being struck by car

A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a hit and run on Milldam Road in Clydebank.

The incident happened around 1am on Saturday, 28 August, 2021, when two men, aged 39 and 36, were struck by a Ford Fiesta.

They were both taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The man is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday, 30 August.

Police Scotland is appealing for anyone with information about the crash to contact them.

Detective Sergeant Barry Convery, of Clydebank CID, said: “I would ask anyone with any dashcam or private CCTV footage of the incident, or anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision, to please get in touch with officers.

“Anyone with information which could assist our investigation should contact Clydebank CID via 101, quoting reference number 0256 of 28 Saturday. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where details can be given anonymously.”
