John Higgins' maximum helps him into round three in Glasgow

John Higgins made the ninth 147 break of his career as he swept into round three of the Scottish Open in Glasgow. Higgins gained a standing ovation following his performance in the third frame against Gerard Greene at the Emirates Arena.
It was not without a scare, as the 15th black rattled both jaws in the corner pocket before eventually dropping in, but the 43-year-old four-time world champion kept his composure to clean up the colours and claim the £20,000 rolling prize for his efforts.
Higgins went on to record a 4-0 victory, but former world champion and Scottish Open title holder Neil Robertson crashed out.
Robertson lost 4-2 to home favourite and world number 94 Ross Muir, while there was a surprise exit for Marco Fu as he lost 4-3 to world number 95 Alfie Burden. Fu claimed the first three frames, including breaks of 133 and 91, but then saw Burden take charge.
Elsewhere, world number five Judd Trump produced a scintillating display to whitewash Ben Woollaston 4-0 - his victory included two century breaks - and there were no problems either for Ding Junhui, as he strolled into the third round with a 4-1 win over Robert Milkins.
Graeme Dott beat Scott Donaldson 4-1 in an all-Scottish contest; Kyren Wilson breezed into the third round with a 4-0 win over Paul Davison; and UK Championship runner-up Mark Allen eased past China's Chen Feilong 4-1.
