Two cameramen injured after cherry picker fall at Hamilton Park Racecourse

Two cameramen are injured after falling from a cherry picker this afternoon at Hamilton Park Racecourse in Lanarkshire.

Racing has been abandoned at Hamilton Racecourse following the incident, which happened at around 1.35pm this afternoon.

Both men have been taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Emergency services are still on the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.50pm on Tuesday, 29 June, police were called to a report of two men falling from a mobile platform at Hamilton Race Course.

"Emergency services are in attendance and one man has been taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.

"The second man is currently being treated at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident."

Fire crews also confirmed they sent two appliances to the race course, and were still on the scene.
