Police appeal after cyclist injured in Hamilton hit-and-run
The 40-year-old cyclist suffered minor injuries after the incident at the weekend
Police are appealing for information following a hit-and-run in Hamilton at the weekend.
It happened on Bothwell Road at the junction with Caird Street, around 11am on Saturday August 6th.
It involved a cyclist and a white BMW, which did not stop at the scene.
The cyclist, a 40-year-old man, was checked at the scene by ambulance for minor injuries.
Enquiries to trace the vehicle, which is believed to a 1 Series or a 3 Series, are ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Constable James Livingstone, from Blantyre Community Policing Team, said:
“We are asking for anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash, or anyone with information on the vehicle involved, to please get in touch.
“Any information could prove useful to our investigation.
