Police name man killed in Greenock murder as Lee Elliot
The 37-year-old lost his life following a disturbance on Sunday night
A man who was murdered in Greenock at the weekend has been named as Lee Elliot, who was from the area.
The 37-year-old died following a disturbance involving three men in the Angus Road area at around 9.50pm on Sunday 30 July.
Mr Elliot was taken to hospital after the incident, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
A 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with his death.
Detective Inspector Ally Semple of the Major Investigation Team said : āOur thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Elliot at this difficult time, as well as everyone in the local community affected by his death."
