Police vehicles damaged and teenager arrested as Greenock youths throw fireworks and bottles
Police say around 200 youths were involved.
Police vehicles have been damaged and one teenager has been arrested after a large-scale disturbance in Greenock.
It happened around 8.10pm on Thursday 5th November where around 200 youths were throwing fireworks and bottles in Auchmead Road.
Public Order officers were deployed - a 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
There were no reports of any injuries, however a number of police vehicles were damaged during the incident.
St Andrew's Church, which is on the grounds of where the incident took place, also posted on Facebook about the incident, saying the priest had been advised to stay inside for his own safety.
Police Scotland says extensive enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and identify the individuals involved.
