Thousands of runners are descending on Glasgow for the return of the Great Scottish Run.

The event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic.

On Saturday, there were toddler and junior runs, with the 10k and half-marathon being held on Sunday.

Both will start at George Square, and finish at Glasgow Green.

Eilish McColgan, who won gold in the 10,000m at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, will be taking part in the event.

Speaking to Clyde 1 about racing in Scotland again, she said: "I am constantly travelling and racing abroad again now, so it's very rare that I get to come home and see my family".
