A Glasgow woman faces jail after attacking her lover – then posing for photos in the blood-soaked aftermath.
Samantha Hawkins left Robert Govan scarred for life after smacking him with a glass bottle in December 2017.
The 24 year-old struck after a row at her home in Glasgow’s Scotstoun.
It was claimed Mr Govan, 27, had initially lashed out at Hawkins.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard Hawkins later captured pictures of what happened on her mobile phone before showing them to a witness.
Prosecutor Mark Allan said: “There were photographs of her lying on a mattress with a large pool of blood on her head and pictures of blood splatter on the walls and floor."
The other person was concerned enough to alert police.
When officers arrived, they found a broken bottle and a blood stained Celtic top.
Mr Govan was in the bath trying to clean his wounds.
Hawkins told officers: “We said he fell down the stairs but that didn’t happen. I know I’ve done something wrong.”
Mr Govan needed treatment for injuries to his head and eyebrow.
Despite what happened, Hawkins carried out a copycat attack on Mr Govan at a flat in the city’s Maryhill in May 2019.
Mr Govan stepped in after Hawkins initially punched another woman.
But, he was then bottled again leaving him “covered in blood”. Mr Govan suffered a head wound.
Hawkins had been due to face the allegations in February, but was not in the dock after she “slept in”.
She now faces jail after admitting to three assaults and the court no-show.
Sheriff Ian Miller remanded her in custody pending sentencing next month
