People across Glasgow and the west this afternoon are enjoying some beautiful snowfall scenes after a blizzard blanketed the area.

Nearly a foot of snow is resting on gardens, roofs and cars, untouched in some cases as we adhere to the "stay at home unless essential" message during the Coronavirus pandemic.

But families and pets are also enjoying the novelty on their doorsteps while they can with sledging happening at a few public parks and even in the city centre.

A snowboarder was even spotted making his way through Partick!

An amber weather warning is in place for the rest of the day and the conditions are naturally causing some difficulty on the roads, as was seen on Glasgow city centre's steep streets last night.

We asked our listeners to send in some photos from various areas, have a look below!
