Glasgow is the home of the joint-winners of the best pub in Scotland.

Deoch and Dorus and the Three Sisters received the accolade at Best Bar None Scotland’s National Awards 2015-2016.

There were fifty four finalists across all categories for the event, which took place at Glasgow’s Grand Central Hotel, but only 13 were lucky enough to take home awards.

The city's Blythswood Square Hotel was also named the joint winner of Best Hotel Bar.

Two pubs in Airdrie also managed to take home awards.

The West End Bar won Best Use of Innovation, while the Imperial Bar was named The Heart of the Community.

Other winners came from Aberdeen, Inverness, Edinburgh, and Perth.

Best Bar None Scotland’s chair Mandy Haeburn-Little said: “It is a great honour to announce the winners of Best Bar None Scotland’s National Awards 2015-16.

“The venues have shown an excellent standard of practice and take great pride in their premises and surroundings.”

“These awards are all about quality.

“Quality of experience when going out, quality of customer care and quality being applied to every aspect of a visit.

“We all want to enjoy going out, we all want to feel safe and we all want to know that family and friends are safe.

She added: “The fact we had joint winners for two categories also reflects the fact, year on year the standard of entrants for the awards just gets better and better.”
