Last updated 4th Oct 2026
There's a major lockdown in the centre of Glasgow after two incidents overnight with the city swamped with thousands of runners.
Officers are guarding Royal Exchange Square which is sealed off between Buchanan Street and Queen Street.
And nearby Glassford Street is also closed after a hit and run.
Witnesses say a man was knocked over and the driver fled the scene.
We're waiting for official comment on both situations from Police Scotland.
More than 30,000 people are taking to the streets in the Great Scottish Run in 10k and Half Marathon events.
