One of Glasgow's oldest nightclubs turns 45 years-old this weekend and is appealing for your fond memories to mark the occassion.

The Savoy on Sauchiehall Street had planned a big birthday bash but that has been put on hold because of coronavirus.

Instead, the celebrations will be over on Facebook and there's a call for your old stories of the club over the years.

Owner Quentin Collier says, "It's stood the test of time for so long because the good people of Glasgow love a great night out. That's what we try and give them week in, week out.

"We'll all be socially distancing but we'll be celebrating on Facebook. We want people to share their stories from 1975. Maybe how they met their other half at the club. It'll be great to see and interact with.

"When all this is over, I think it's going to be epic. Judging from what I've read online, people are just itching to get out the house. So hopefully we can have one huge party then and the whole of Glasgow will be jumping."

You can share your memories of the Savoy on their Facebook page here.
