The team are raising money to support their new women's team and mixed gender touch team

Players from Glasgow’s own LGBTQ+ rugby club are swapping their kits for gowns to host a fundraising drag show.
Twelve of the team from Glasgow Raptors will be performing for the House of Raptor: A Rugby Meets Drag Extravaganza, in a bid to be the second ever winner of the competition.
Last year’s inaugural queen, Greta Hunberg will be returning to present the crown, and the evening will feature performances from Glasgow drag royalty, Geezah Gobble, Ziggi Battles and Ann Phetamine.
Social secretary for the club, Andrew Fry will be taking to the stage again after his debut last year.
He said: “We’re really excited to be bringing our show back after a great debut last year. With our rugby players strapping into high heels in the name of fundraising for our club, this really is a drag show like no other.
“Our performers have all been hard at work over the last few months, practicing their lifts, kicks and splits, ready to dazzle the audience at our event.”
Rounding off Pride Month celebrations on June 30 at the Slay nightclub in Glasgow city centre, the team are aiming to raise money to support the club development, including helping their new women’s team and mixed gender touch team.
Next season, the Glasgow Raptors will welcome inclusive rugby teams from across the UK to our city to take part in the first ever Celtic Cup tournament.
Club chairperson, Ross Lockerbie said: “Our fundraising night offers an opportunity to support a good cause in the Glasgow community, and we hope to see Slay packed out for what we know will be a great value for money entertainment evening delivered by our talented drag performers”.
