It turns out a man who was being tested for ebola at a Glasgow hospital does NOT have the killer disease. He had recently come back from West Africa and was being seen by medics at the infectious diseases unit at Gartnavel.

An NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde spokesperson said: "A man is being treated in the Brownlee Infectious Dieases Unit at Gartnavel General Hospital after being transferred from Ayrshire."

"A test for Ebola has come back negative."
