Teenager raped in Dawsholm Park

A teenage girl has been raped in a wooded area of Dawsholm Park in Glasgow.

The incident happened near to the Ilay Court entratnce on Monday at 8.10pm.

The 16-year-old was in a wooded area near one of the park entrances when she was attacked.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A police spokesman said: "Police Scotland is carrying out inquiries after a 16-year-old woman was seriously sexually assaulted at Dawsholm Park in a wooded area a short distance from the entrance at Ilay Court in Glasgow at 8.10pm on Monday 1 June.

"Anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident is asked to contact officers on 101 quoting 4107 of 1 June.''
