A nurse from Lennoxtown is to stand trial accused of assaulting a patient.

Kevin Donnachie, 54, allegedly attacked a 60-year-old woman at a property in Glasgow’s Maryhill between September 2021 and February 2022.

Court papers state Donnachie was employed a nurse and a care giver to the woman.

It is claimed that Donnachie tweaked her nose and placed footballs under her clothing.

The charge further says that Donnachie repeatedly placed his face against hers and touched her face.

Papers state Donnachie lay beside her on a bed where she was sleeping and touched her on the face.

It is claimed that he went on to place his head under her bed clothes and repeatedly cuddled her.

Donnachie is further accused of following the woman to the toilet and watching her as well as tickle her stomach.

Donnachie, from East Dunbartonshire, denies the single charge.

A trial will take place at Glasgow Sheriff Court in August with a hearing taking place in July.
